Tonight’s ride was a short one, but sometimes those are the best. We decided to head out to all three bridges, which gave us a total of about 5.7 miles. It wasn’t the longest ride we’ve done, but it was fun and refreshing all the same.
The best part came as we were finishing up — catching the sun setting over the horizon. There’s something about being on a bike, out in the open, that makes a sunset feel even more special. The air cools down, the colors stretch across the sky, and for a little while, everything feels peaceful.
These smaller rides remind me that it’s not always about distance or speed. Sometimes it’s just about being out there, enjoying the ride, and soaking in the little moments — like a quiet evening, three bridges, and a sunset to end the day.
